OCI & EDI – Standardised Interfaces for Efficient Data Exchange

Time is an economic factor. Especially when it comes to delivery times, the time factor has a rapid and serious effect on costs. In order to be able to supply customers even faster, HELUKABEL automatically records the customer's Internet orders via the merchandise management system or ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning). With the direct connection of the customer's merchandise management system to that of HELUKABEL, delivery times are drastically reduced.

OCI (Open Catalog Interface)
It is not relevant whether the customer is an SAP user or not. SAP users connect HELUKABEL to their own product database by means of OCI. OCI is an open and standardised interface developed by SAP. The customer's system accesses HELUKABEL's product database via the Internet using standardised Internet protocols.

EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
In the event that the customer is not an SAP user, we offer a different, simple and efficient solution: With the help of EDI standardised interfaces for efficient data exchange, the customer's system can be connected to HELUKABEL's ERP system. To guarantee smooth transmission, all information is transferred in a so-called standard. These standards, with the formats EDITEC 3.3 and EDIFACT D96a, are international and industry-independent dynamic EDI standards that are constantly being further developed.
