Bus and and Ethernet cables are indispensable in many industrial applications, such as in drag chains, where dynamic accelerations, high speeds, and tight bending radii are an everyday occurrence. Mechanical loads, such as tight bends in small radii, dynamic tensile forces, and friction with surrounding parts, make life difficult for these cables and can cause damage over long periods. This damage can lead to localised disruptions and inconvenient production downtimes.
This is why HELUKABEL developed its HELUCHAIN bus cables—a solution specifically designed for these demanding applications. These cables have an especially robust outer sheath made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) which is exceptionally resistant to abrasion, chemicals, and extreme temperatures. A screen with a high degree of coverage and flat braid angle provides reliable protection against EMC interference.
Even the inner sheath of HELUCHAIN cables is made of TPE, which is extruded under pressure. This means the cores inside are guided with precision, preventing internal deformation such as corkscrews. The individual components of the cable are held in place, thus providing long-term stable and high-quality transmission. With a minimum bending radius of 7.5 x d, these cables achieve a lifespan of at minimum 5 million bending cycles. Laboratory tests even show excellent data transmission at notably smaller radii. This makes them an ideal solution for highly-dynamic machines—for example in material handling and conveyor technology, or in the assembly of circuit boards.
HELUCHAIN bus cables are available ex stock for all common bus systems such as PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Ethernet up to CAT 7, and CAN-Bus. Thanks to their UL approval, they are also suited for the American market, perfect for export-oriented mechanical engineering.
